2005 Malibu classic turn signal noise
My 05 Malibu classic is making the turn signal clicking noise constantly which then causes the warning chime to start going off. I have replaced the turn signal assembly three times and each time it fixes it for a short time then it starts again. Any help would be much appreciated

Re: 2005 Malibu classic turn signal noise
Could be your hazard switch....when it makes the noise, turn your hazards on and then off....if the noise stops, that's your problem...

Re: 2005 Malibu classic turn signal noise
I have tried that and the noise changes to the normal flasher sound when the hazard lights are on but when you turn them off it goes back to making the constant rapid flasher noise. I thought about changing the hazard switch but haven't yet.

Replaced the hazard flasher today and that did not solve the problem.

Re: 2005 Malibu classic turn signal noise
Hello all,
I had a real strange issue with my turn signals changing speed back and forth and would click after shutting off. It was there very first sign of my battery getting week, because my alternator was dying and took about two weeks. Make sure you do not have any fluctuation in your voltage. I would just to check. Does the car maybe have some kind of alarm, and or maybe some one unplugged the horn/siren? just another thought. |
