New used truck/suv
I currently own a manual 4WD, 2005 Nissan Frontier CrewCab. I am in the market for something different because I'm tired of the manual transmission. It gets old driving too and from work everyday in traffic. So i'm in the market for a used SUV/truck for about $14,000, and I don't know if that's even possible anymore.
I got a steal on my current truck two years go (that's why I bought it). 55,000 Miles, almost perfect condition in and out, and only $13,300. Now everywhere I look I see Toyota's with 120,000 miles, for $18,000. 04 Jeep Wranglers for $14,000, and comparable Nissan's with more mileage for $16,000. Any recommendations? I have looked at Xterra's, Grand Cherokees, Jeeps, Pathfinders, other Frontiers, Fords etc . . . as well as Toyota's, but it feels wrong to me to pay $18k for a vehicle with 120,000 miles regardless of the fact that it's a 2007. |

Re: New used truck/suv
Well, given your location, AWD/4WD will probably command a sizable price tag. Try looking further away from you and see if you can't find something that way. Sometimes it's actually cheaper to make a day trip out of it and buy something even 100 miles away if it's significantly cheaper than what you see locally.
As for being "tired" of manual - NO SUCH THING! I've got 3 vehicles to my name and not 1 of them is an auto. Let us know what you finally decide!
