The mother of all sightings...
I was driving home late last weekend, turning into my road, when out of the corner of my eye I glimpse an outrageous machine parked on the side of the road. What the hell? A black Ferrari Enzo!! My jaw hit the floor. Naturally, I stopped to admire the car. Then I saw the license plate. V17 JET. Holy crap, it’s Jay Kay’s - I’d seen it in all the recent magazines. Driving slowly past the side of the car, I see he’s sitting in it!! Should I say hi? Nah, give the guy some privacy I thought. So I drove slowly away but when I looked in my rear view mirror I saw a neighbourhood watch guy talking to him so I turned around. What the hell, how often do you see an Enzo, right? His door was now open, so I got out of my car and said hello, and whadayaknow, he’s had a few. He looked groggy and was speaking slowly, slightly slurring his words. Son of a bitch! Driving a 660bhp rocket and he wasn’t quite “with it”!! He said he was "waiting for someone", i should have called the paparazzi I told him it was an awesome car, had a look at the beautiful engine through the glass, took a few pics with my camera phone (the quality is appalling cos it was dark) but I couldn’t see the steering wheel and display ‘cos he had a jacket placed over it, the b*stard! But all I really wanted was to hear him fire it up. It was pretty late, so I didn’t know how appropriate it was to plead with him to make my wish come true, but thinking back I should have blackmailed the guy. Fire it up, or I call the cops and we’ll see if you’re over the limit! Unfortunately I didn’t think of that at the time, so I didn’t get to hear that glorious twelve.
Still a great sighting though! |

jeeze. an enzo is pretty damn close to the mother of all sitings... I think I might be more excited to see an original cobra though, just because there are so damned many of those kit cars on the road, and to see a 500,000 dollar original cobra.... I would cream myself... can I get banned for saying that? I hope not...

Re: The mother of all sightings...
dont worry, you're safe
i almost creamed myself when i saw the Enzo... not quite though, i'd be worried if it got to that stage actually i remember my sighting of an F40 somehow made more of an impression on me than the Enzo... maybe cos the F40 was in motion... i can still hear that furious engine note 5 years on |

To be honest, I'd get more excited to catch a Vanquish then an Enzo. Not that the Enzo isn't a fantastic car, but I don't envision myself in one. The Vanquish on the other hand.... someday....
