Dry fitting.

Unfortunately, the big part of the engine will not be visible after assembly. A half-engine will be hide under a dash board.

I'm impressed by the attention to details. You often do huge jobs to fix minor mistakes recognizable just with hawkeyes.... stunning! Yes, art stand on details.

Re: Aston Martin One-77

Thanks guys!
Little update. Started to work with engine bay compartment.
I have spent much time to create this drawing.

The hood was made thinner and the air vents was opened.

The main part of the engine bay was glued and the air vents on the front fenders was opened too.

Subassembly.

Re: Aston Martin One-77

Absolutely stunning!!! As all your work is. Your attention to detail is second to none and your fixes for inaccuracies of this kit look to be spot on, well done. I also love your scratchbuilding and expansion of this kit. I'd also like to know where you purchased this kit. I've been looking for a vendor and havent been able to find anyone selling this as of yet. A link would be much appreciated. Thanks

Re: Aston Martin One-77

Started to create a front part of a monocoque.

Front stiffeners. Not completed yet.

It was decided to build up a front suspension. The inner wheel arches were cut out.

A space for the turned wheels was increased.

There were made pins to fix the front stiffeners.

Evergreen's 2mm rod was used for the wheel axes. Some parts from Tamiya's Aston Martin DBS were used for the front suspension.

Brake discs (each consists of 8 parts). They will be painted later.

Suspension subassemblies.

Dry fitting.

Unfortunately, the front bonnet was deformed by itself after the short time period. The heating can't solved this issue, and I decided to glue it with the body temporarily, to correct its shape by a polyester filler, to make a carbon fiber copy. Just now it looks like this.
