Pay attention there are a lot of misleading pictures from rebuilt 205t16E2 here and there...
I have some original pictures, PM me your email and I'll share them.

Re: Peugeot 205 T16 Evo2 looking for reference pics

I mostly use a massive thread over at www.forum-auto.com
On page 100, they made a table of contents

http://www.forum-auto.com/sport-auto....htm#t15328121

Here you have info and pics on almost every 205 T16 raced in all of the Gr.B. Events.
The EVO2 first appeared at Tour de Corse 1985. The EVO 1 was also still used in parallel, but you will easily distinguish those.

There are some useful pics here of Juha Kankunnens 205 Evo2

Re: Peugeot 205 T16 Evo2 looking for reference pics

Now I need some help for my own 205 T16 Evo2 build (here):

Both the Tamiya's 405 T16 and the Renaissance Evo2 Pikes Peak conversion feature a bomb-shaped container that is mounted on the firewall behind the seats.
I suppose it either belongs to a water-injection turbo or fire extinguisher system:

My question now is:
Did the 1986 Rallye Corsica 205 T16 Evo2 also have it?
If so, do you have pictures for reference?

Thank you very much!

Re: Peugeot 205 T16 Evo2 looking for reference pics

I think this fire extinguisher is a Dakar stuff (probably due to the additionnal fuel liters on board...)

doesn't seem here in the 86' corsica car...

Re: Peugeot 205 T16 Evo2 looking for reference pics

thanks.
I find it hard to judge from those pictures alone, but I agree that probably wasn't there.

will continue my Evo2 build without it.

Re: Peugeot 205 T16 Evo2 looking for reference pics

Found another pics from Peugeot museum evo 2 (1000lakes 85') and it doesn't seem there either...
I'm almost 100% sure it wasn't used in rally cars, only GR cars
