Looking for ideas for Willys Jeep
I bought a 1/24 Italeri Willys Jeep today.
Most military kits are 1/32 and this one was only 12euros. Had to take it! But I don't want to paint it flat green. I'm still thinking about which flashy color to get and I'll need some neat rims for it to. Lowering or making it wider won't look right I guess, any cool other ideas from you guys?

go super war style, like some terminator kinda thing! Guns sticking out from every angle! Pile of grenades in the back, rocket launchers! Or make it like it was a blown up jeep in the middle of the war field!

OK, go GT on it,
Take off the roof, put a solid flat back behind the seats and mount a GT wing on it and a couple of 10" cones with the amps and ICE where the passenger seat was. Flare the rear arches, mount cycle style fenders on the front wheels and mount some 20" rims with low pro tyres front and back. Big V8 or V12 with side exit chrome pipes on both sides. Remove screen and just have a small aero screen. SAS Recaro seat. Nos and fuel system with display in cab. That should keep you busy and make one kick ass jeep

No, no, what you need to do with a jeep kit is make it into a JEEPNEY.
In the Philipines, after WWII, there were alot of surplus US jeeps about. They were quickly put into service by the locals as taxis- but, the locals didn't much care for olive green, either. So, the modded 'em, painted 'em, and did everything else they could think of. Many jeepneys still in operation started life 60+ years ago- others are newer. They're everywhere in Manila, and defy description. The results: Do a google search on jeepney for inspiration. http://www.statiknet.de/Jeep/Jeepneymania.html is a good collection of pics. |

Re: Looking for ideas for Willys Jeep
I built a Jeep myself before. I built an AMT Jeep CI. Very nice model. What I did, I took out the doors and made custom made ones out of the trees. Very nice only up to the body. And with some tree parts and somt sheet styrene I mae a FAT wing like a buggy style. I love it i will post some pics of it later on!
