02 Venture no air from upper vents?

I have an '02 Venture with rear air. I get lots of air from the side panels down by the floor by the rear seat, but nothing ever seems to come out of the upper vents above the seats.

I've tried switching from heat to cool and it doesn't change.

I guess I don't know what it is supposed to do or if I have something broke??

Any ideas? thanks, tom

Sounds like a stuck or broken blend door. This door in the ductwork moves to redirect air flow when you change settings.

Look in your glovebox, there should be a door with two in cab air filters they probably need changed. I have a 1998 venture and I had the same problem you are describing. Local auto is about 40 bucks found online for 20 delivered in about four days.
