Angry aztek rear hatch stuck solid

my 2001 aztek hatch won't open period, not with the button not with the key not with the inside handle. i checked the fuses and they are all fine.
i am not talking about not opening from secondary position but locked stuck jammed or what ever you want to call it.

Mapletek, If your not hearning anything when you use the fob or inside cabin button, theres a fairly good chance its a BCM issue. Others had found a temp fix by removing the BCM fuse for a count of ten. It is fuse number 28 in the under hood fuse box. Give that a try and see if it helps. Ray

Oh MY GOD it works!! Thank you Chameleon-Kat. My 2001 Aztek just locked yesterday. I also tried the inside fuse (no luck). After reading your suggestion - I tried #28 in the under hood box, and it WORKED!! Thank you thank you thank you

Glad it worked for both of you, just don't forget the part I said about 'temp fix' , it may comes back and perhaps the quick thing won't work.

Chameleon-Kat, thankyou so much.

I had the same problem on my 2002 Aztek, the fuse 28 solution worked for me too!!! What might be the cause of the problem on the BCM?..can it be fixed for good?

Regards from Mexico City,

Octavio.
