'86 Corvette Crate/Rebuilt Engines (suggestions?)
I'm looking to buy a COMPLETE engine, meaning no rebuilding anything... just drop it in and be on my way. I need the engine to be Fuel Injected (obviously), CA legal, and 250HP or above. Somebody please help!

I have had one of those GM crate engines.... it was FAST!
The engine was a (BRAND NEW, not rebuilt) Target Master 300HP 350 cid, it came with vave covers, water pump and everything fully assembled except for the intake (you use your existing one) and no oil pan either. I had checked on one for my work truck and they are still available, Maroone Chevrolet here in Lake worth Florida said they would sell me one for $2400.00 plus tax and they said that included my $100 core charge on my old engine. I highly recomend one, they are AWSOME. |

I own a 1989 Chevy C1500 305 V8 with over 240,000 miles on it. Where would i find a crate engine for this truck and how much would it be and all? Im looking for a new one but gatta save first. Just wondering for future references. How hard would it be to put in too? I can get the tools and everything from my uncle or otherwise i have them already, but does it come with instructions or anything? The basics i could do (wires, some electrical, exhaust, gas-brake lines) stuff like that. Just some suggestions would be cool, thanks.

You can order one at the Chevy dealer for $2400.00-$3000.00. If you don't have the tools and know how to change an engine then I recomend you look for somebody who does.
