Re: pics in front of hangar

that would be wayyy badass, with 4000 ft you could get up to some serious speed with plenty of room to stop.

freak man, I'm surprised they actually let you bring your car on the airfield... what'd you do at the airport... I worked @ O'Hare over the summer, in the airfield operations tower, but pretty much no one could bring their vehicles on the airfield...

Re: pics in front of hangar

well, O'Hare is a WHOLE LOT bigger than the airport i work at. the biggest thing we get is a Citation V, which is a petty ant compared to Boeing 737's, 777's, 747's, and such. to put it in more perspective, my work has 1 runway at 4000ft long, O'Hare has 6 runways with three of them being over 10,000ft long.

Re: pics in front of hangar

we have had one Citation X land at our airport, it was badass. the plane itself really isnt that big, but the engines are freaking huge. technically, my work isnt that leniant, but all the bosses are gone by 6pm and so after that i can do whatever i want. one of the best things i like about this job is i can wash my car inside the heated hangar.

definitely working on getting a permanent heat situation in my garage. i have a propane heater that works damn well but it is a propane heater and its pretty expensive and unsafe to run 24/7.

so...anybody have any ideas for a cheap way to permanantly heat a garage, it is inulated already do that should help alot.

BTW: is O'hare still the biggest airport in the US?

Re: pics in front of hangar

get a big wood burning heater, it really helps plus you can burn all your scraps and paper trash.

Ok, so just why is it so awesome to have a heated place to clean your car/work on your car?

Is it just because it is warm and you dont like being cold???

Re: pics in front of hangar

^ lol dude I take it you haven't tried to work in a garage with no heat or insulation at 0 degree weather because it freaking sucks...

yea we have kerosine heaters for our garage if need be, but they're almost choking becuase there's really not that much ventilation...
