My wife's odyssey only starts when you apply the brake. Just started happening. The only difference between today and yesterday isbit is raining cats and dogs. Any ideas?

Re: 06 odyssey only starts when brake is applied
Don't really have an intelligent answer for you, but I don't believe that is uncommon in these late model autos. My wife drives a 2006 Ody (10 yrs old now), and we keep finding "quirks" about it. My bro-in-law's late model Lincoln will not start unless the foot is on the brake. It is a safety measure - even tho maybe a nuisance. There MAY be a means of changing that from happening in the computer programming. When I am driving her Ody (Driver 2), the passenger door does not unlock when the ignition is turned off, and she has to manually unlock the door. That can be reprogrammed in the computer settings... BUT IT IS AND INVOLVED PROCESS that takes all too much time and conscentration. (Maybe I should get my young grandson over to re-program it for me. http://staticaf.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/tongue.gif
