65-66 Gran Fury 3?
I have a chance to get a 65 or 66 gran fury 3 from my uncle for free in very good condition. My question is that the car has a 318 i believe and was wondering what horsepower and torque rating am i looking at stock? Also if any one knows what are the Horsepower and torque ratings for the engines that you could get with this car from the factory? The reason i am asking is because i want to keep the car stock in apperience wise but want to mod up the stock engine.
Thanks for the Help |

Re: 65-66 Gran Fury 3?
First off, i hate to be the one to correct you, but there was no Gran Fury in 1965 or 1966. there was only the Fury.
That said, i have a 1965 Fury I 2 door with a 318. i know for a fact that these engines can be hopped up to 500+ horsepower. stock, they came with 230hp other engines available were a 318, 360?(not sure) 383, 426, and the 273 six-cylinder. there is a website called "62-65 mopar", they show, in detail, how to build a 500 hp 318. shoot me an email if you want to know anything else, ive learned a lot about these cars, and theres nothing cooler than an aircraft carrier muscle car. |

For 1965, the engines available in the Fury was 225 six-cylinder, 318, 383 and 426. I'm not sure if the 361 was available for the '65 Fury... the 360 was a '70s engine.
