Camshaft Position Sensor (98 2.0)
Recently my neon has been (for the lack of a better word)stumbling or almost like missing a beat or kicking and lately it's to the point it dies.
Took it into O' Riley's today and the code reader showed (Cam Position Sensor)but I am having trouble locating the location of it other than behind the engine(according to online photo) .However it does look like something similar on the driver side of engine on the end of the head. Oh the part they brought up shows a 2 bolt. Basically I'm lost, any help would be greatly appreciated. |

It is located on the drivers side of the head, held on by two bolts. Before buying a new one, pull it off, clean it up including the connectors and reinstall it. See if that helps.

Re: Camshaft Position Sensor (98 2.0)
Update:went ahead and just got a new one(kept old),which the o-ring was flat .Replaced ran great. Then today same old problem only not as bad yet and when it dies it starts back up easy. This is a SOHC. I wonder if there is any correlation with the crank sensor?Oh the sensor was very oily.
