"there's no replacement for displacement" .... take a 3.2l engine, some engine work, and stick a JRSC on it...im afraid to think of the results..surely more than a 1.8l b18.

stop dreaming, & get down from those clouds...a B18+turbo is lighter than any V6+SC; both will make the same hp, but not torque & torque is not your friend in a FWD car.

And then both of you guys w/ you sewing maching powered cars get passed by a moped w/ a 5hp Engine and he goes on to put 5 car lengths on you. Racing an EX vs a DX is like a 10 speed bike vs a golden retriever.

Acura TL engine code is J32A1, it's SOHC VTEC engine, 225hp & 216lb-ft.
to fit that engine into Civic you have to spend more money then your car worth. (no offence)

you'll be much better off with B18B (170hp & 128lb-ft). even without forced induction your car will be faster then TL, just because weight to power ration will be on Civic side.

BTW, there is only one V6 DOHC Honda has on production line, C32B1 - NSX engine.

again, it was a completely hypothetical question. i already have a complete changover coming to me.
(d16y8 w/ 35k miles from a '00 EX) w/ aem cam gear, jg throttlebody, webcams camshaft, dc headers, high-flow cat, and dc catback, and possibly the apexi vtec-afc controller.
down the road, im going to look into getting a turbo and run about 5.5 psi on the stock internals, 'till i get some new pistons and shit.

You are right u asking a what if question? what if i change it to a 3.2 acura engine and your af friends just giving you some suggestions. I do not think they trying to be mean to you if they were then they would of told you to do it, and knowing how much money and pain you would of had they truely didnt want you to be in. Its a good ideal cuz of the power and displacement but the cost. My suggestion any only suggestion please do not take it to heart sell that motor and get a b16, b18, the slowly do mods from there, i think you will be more happy. Plus if your close friends mother said anything about the motor just say it didnt fit my ride and i had to change it for a smaller motor to fit. they would understand.
