1946 Buick Roadmaster
Hi, I have a 1946 Roadmaster that was given to me a couple of years ago. The car was driven to my house, and dropped off. The guy that gave me the car has moved out of state, and I have no way to reach him. The problem is. I don't know how to start this car. The ignition switch is only ON, or OFF, and I can't find any buttons to engage the starter. I was thinking something on the floorboard, but nothing there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ken |

Re: 1946 Buick Roadmaster
On some older cars I have seen (if I remember correctly) the starter was on the gas pedal. Just push the pedal all the way to the floor and see if that works. Good luck.

Re: 1946 Buick Roadmaster
Correct on the gas pedal. there is a switch on the carb linkage for the starter.
