12 quarts oil into forenza crankcase

heres what happens when you put 12 quarts of oil into a suzuki forenza 2.0.

The owner's check engine light came on so she checked her oil, couldnt see the level because its a brand new car with only 800 miles so the oil was really light. she dumped 12 quarts into it then towed it to us because the engine started knocking. We drained the oil, replaces the spark plugs, and cleared the cylinders of oil then fired it up.

BTW the check engine light was on because of a P0455 emission system leak, caused by her gas cap being loose.

Re: 12 quarts oil into forenza crankcase

lol... I'm sorry, it sucks that this happened to her because I'm sure it wasn't cheap to fix. But it is pretty dumb. I don't know much about cars, which is why I wouldn't try to fix anything myself. If a problem were to come up with my car, common sense tells me to leave it alone since I don't know a damned thing about them.

But that is a big oil spot. And the smoke -- that didn't look good either. I read your post and I know what you were doing. It just looks bad. hehe
