Forester Power Rear Latch
I have a 2014 Forester and My rear latch wont open automatically, only manually. I have tried all the suggested"reset" modes, but nothing works.
What else can I do before I take it to my "costly" dealer?? |

Re: Forester Power Rear Latch
I bought the switch/light harness assembly and installed it. The disassembly of the hatch is complex but not difficult.

Re: Forester Power Rear Latch
This has happened several times to mine. Usually whenever I'm at the dealership for a service I let them know that also needs a fix. From what they've told me it sounds like they just disconnect the battery.

Re: Forester Power Rear Latch
Just disconnected the negative battery terminal for 20 seconds, Reconnected, and it works again
