'00 1500 won't idle
I just changed a leaking brake proportioning valve, I cleaned up around the area with brake cleaner and now my truck won't stay running. I can start and run it as long as I'm giving it gas but as soon as I let off the gas it dies. Any ideas as where to look??

Re: '00 1500 won't idle
first thing I'd check would be the IAC(Idle Air Controle) valve. it's located on the back side of the throttle body. could be a loose or bad connection, or it could just be dirty, and sticking.

make sure your battery is fully charged and then you must reset adaptive memory if you disconect the pcm with the key off for about 10 minutes then reconnect pcm then turn key on wait 10 seconds then key off again for 10-15 seconds then start vehicle should be good to go
