'91 Occasional No Start
'91 Vette auto. transmission. About three weeks ago, I went out and turned the key, and nothing happened, no clicking sound or anyting. All the dash lights lit up, radio came on, and the headlights came on good and bright, which lead me to believe the battery was good. About a 1/2 hour later I went back out, turned the key and it rolled over and started up and ran fine. It has been fine ever since.
Today, I go to start it, and hear a really load clicking sound when the key is turned, once again, the lights come on and everyting. After 7 or 8 tries, it finally rolls over and starts. The battery connections are tight and clean. Any suggestions? Is my starter going? Thanks!!!! |
