2000 ZX2 Fuel, Temp and Tach quit working
What could cause the Fuel gauge, temperature gauge an Tach to stop working. The fuel gauge started jumping around between a 1/4 and 1/2 then the low gas light would come on with the gauge at 1/2. Now it is stuck on 1/2. The tach and temp gauge just stopped within 1 day of the fuel gauge acting up. Any suggestions?

Have you checked the fuse?

The tach, fuel gauge and temperature instruments operate off of the same circuit. I suspect a faulty ground. First off, it is a long shot, but clean and tighten the ground terminal on the battery and check the ground connections down stream of the instrument cluster.

Tumbleweed: didn't think it would be a fuse the way the fuel gauge was jumping around at first but I will check that.
Dave: I will also check that. Thanks Guys! |

Your right RAT. After re-reading what you wrote I agree the fuel gage would have completely quit
