Brake shims question?
Hi everyone,
Does anybody know what the risk is for not puting shims on brake pads for the J. Thanks, Geoff. |

you dont have to have them but it is advised you put them on.

I put on aftermarket organic brake pads on the front and back and the front brakes didn't have shims. I was just wondering because after I drive for about 5 minutes, the brakes start to grind/make a grinding noise in the front. I guess the grinding/grinding noise is a different problem. shims are used for that reason put the old ones back
