Honestly I think the old GT40s are better looking then the Miura, and I don't think the GT40 is the best looking car out there either. Honestly, I think the two best looking cars on the road are the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, and the Ferrari 575m. The Aston Martin because it is so dignified in all that it does. It isn't overly flashy or showy, and just exudes charm and elegance. The Ferrari for similar reasons. It isn't trying too hard to look good, it just does.

I don't think the Enzo was ever supposed to be a beautiful car, it was supposed to be a really fast car. I like the function before form approach when I'm driving a car, but not when Im looking at one.

Im a little suprised at how popular the S7 is. Its an aggressively good looking car, but I would have thought the Carrera GT or something of that sort would have done better.

O, and jcsaleen, the McLaren F1 LM wasn't the competition version of the car, it was a road going version to commemorate the McLaren F1 GTR's victories at LeMans.

you're not alone

i think one of the reasons why I like it so much is that it looks like a Group C Racer, and I've always loved Group C

As far as the Miura, just look at those curves

Re: Best looking Supercar??

the problem with the miura is that it is rather 2 dimensional in it's design.
what looks like a mass of curves turns into something that is rather rectangular when viewed away from the side 3/4 views.
on the other hand the GT40 is curvey all over, in all directions which makes it in my eyes, much better looking.

As for the F50, i seem to recall most people calling it one of the ugliest ferrari cars...
anyway.
it might not be a modern supercar, or even a supercar of it's time either but my vote will always go to the DB4GT Z.
if it has a to be a modern can then the good old LP400 is my pick of the wedges.

I've got it now. It's to plain for me that's why. It reminds me of a watered down GT40.

Look at the cars I like. They're very cut in their design. Ex TVR sagaris & S7 competition.

Re: Best looking Supercar??

Miura is definately one of the best looking cars ever but I love classic ferraris like a 250 GTO. That's an absolutely gorgeous car.

Come on that's breathtaking. I prefer these classi cars over newer ones liek the F50 just because they have so much soul in them and they are so pure in what they do, theres no traction control and onboard controls just the driver and the road.

Re: Best looking Supercar??

The ferraris are beautiful, but I tend to think of them as classics instead of supercars even though they really are supercars.

Re: Best looking Supercar??

just to put in my two cents...Miura is classic and Aston Martins are the best looking, sexiest, classiest, whatever you want to call it, cars on the road today.
The problem with all the cars on the poll is that they're all uninspired. Their designs are too purpose-built, and that's the way they're supposed to be. Of course they all have aggressive, breathtaking bodies because that's the design that's the most areodynamic. They all have fantastic designs because they have shapes that we rarely see in everyday life, but they all lack what makes a really good looking car: a soul...the artistic genius of the designer.

Re: Best looking Supercar??

i voted for the murcielago, by the way.
it has a very sleek, clean, but at the same time, aggressive and demanding shape. i've seen one in my town during the Silver State Classic, an open road race out here in Nevada (holds the highway land speed record, 227 if i'm not incorrect, just a little nevada pride).
i'll tell you, it was most unnatural thing i've ever seen in my life, watching that lambo cruise down main street at 25mph. it just screams 200!

Re: Best looking Supercar??

I had a tough time choosing between the murcialago and the F1. IMO their both stunning supercars and I would have no problem staring at one for a solid hour if I saw it parked somewhere.

But I think the F1 has a much meaner, more aggressive look to it. The Murcialago looks more subdued, and a bit more conservative.

Then again the Jag looks absolutely stunning, as all Jags ought to

I love the Saleen S7...

It's just the way it's curves are, the headlights look menacing but at the same time aestheticly pleasing to the eye.

I guess I love a musclecar rumble too
