2014 parts in 2017 focus

Hi there!

My friend had her car fixed at Firestone, and her family took it there and said that the car was a 2014 ford focus s instead of a 2017. Would Firestone be smart enough to use parts for her actual model? If they did use 2014 parts, would that cause damage to the car or fail to work after a while?

As far as I know there was just bad damage to the rim and tire from hitting a bump.

Thanks!
