!!! Idle Adjustment Help !!!
My 86 celica gts is idleing a little low at around 500. I'd like it to be somewhere around 1000-1300. Where can I locate the the adjustment screw. I haven't got a clue where it is. I do know where the throttle is though.
thanks |

should be located near the throttle body bracket. Should just be as simple as turning a screw.

Re: !!! Idle Adjustment Help !!!
that's what I thought, but there's nothing that really stands out. Is the body bracket located to the left of the throttle cable? Will it be underneath or on top?

Re: !!! Idle Adjustment Help !!!
if you have a EFI car with a idle air control solenoid/motor, the manufactior may not want you to adjust it, as it should be perfictly preset at the factory. if this is the case, your problem lays elsewhere. check your emission sticker or owners manual to confirm.
etherway, the screw should still be there, it may be covered with a plastic/rubber boot. check the bracket the throttle calbe connect to, it is probilly the only thing that is in its way prevent it from closing anymore.
