2006 DIC - Oil Warning reset doesn't work...

Hey Guys,
My parents have a 2006 La crosse with a DIC panel. Trying to clear the oil warning notification. The instructions say to hit the option button until "Engine Oil Monitor” appears. Well...it never appears. It only switches between English/Metric and Compass calibration. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks guys

Try pressing the gauge button first to get to oil life. Then try reset. Assuming you have the uplevel DIC

One of the other methods to try is to turn the key to the on position, without starting, press the gas pedal 3 times in succession within 7 seconds, then turn the key off, then start the car.

What "gauge" button? BTW...the DIC is at the top of the middle panel above the stereo. Thanks

Bump....anybody else? Has anyone ran into this problem before where the DIC does not match the instructions?

Yes....exactly. BTW, I tried the gas peddle trick and that didn't work either.
Thanks for helping.

Did you try the options after pressing the gauge?
