Won’t crank
Battery is new. I removed relay and put jump wire to test starter starter is good, key turns lights come on and everything. Car just won’t start. I saw somewhere that with acc on if I put car in reverse and reverse lights don’t come on it might be issue with neutral safety switch. Opinions? Again car turns on just won’t crank. I hear clicking from relay so I know ignition switch is good.

Re: Won’t crank
Welcome to the forum! What year and model of Lincoln (LS or MKZ) are you referring to? It probably won't matter for the starting system, but which engine does your Lincoln have as well?

Re: Won’t crank
Okay, I should have the factory service manual for that year but won't be able to take a look until I'm home from work. By chance have you tried a second key to make sure it's not an issue with the anti-theft system not recognizing the key?

Re: Won’t crank
Unfortunately I don’t have a second key. However anti theft light doesn’t stay on and when key is turned the seats move automatically and I read that’s a way to tell if theft system is on. Thanks for helping btw.

Re: Won’t crank
I think the first thing I'd check based on the wiring diagram is fuse F5 (30A) in the Battery Junction Box. This fuse provides power to the starter solenoid via the starter relay. Since you hear a click when attempting to start, I'll assume for now that the starter relay is what you hear clicking. If fuse F5 is good, then I'd recommend checking for voltage on the brown wire to the starter when attempting to start. If you don't get battery voltage on this wire when trying to start, then you need to figure out why power is not making it from the fuse through the starter relay to the starter. That is of course assuming the relay is in fact being energized and the source of the clicking you mentioned.
