'66 GT 350 Fastbacks

My Dad and I are restoring a 66 GT350 fastback (into a 1966 Shelby GT350H), and I was wondering if anyone here has an interest in the 66 GT350's.

1966 doesn't seem to be a very popular year, but I enjoy the looks of the 66 GT350 better than any of the other classic 'Stangs. I like the rear-quarter windows instead of vents, they look a lot cleaner and aesthetically pleasing.

In 1966 Hertz rental company decided to buy '66 Shelby GT350's from Ford, so Ford had Shelby create special Hertz versions of the car, the result was a black and gold Shelby (to match the black and gold colors of Hertz), and the H was added to GT350 for "GT350 Hertz".

The major differences between the regular GT350's and the GT350H's was the GT350H's came usually with automatic transmissions.

Re: '66 GT 350 Fastbacks

this is probably a dumb question, but what exactly is the difference between a shelby and a fastback?

Re your post in Automotive forums in about march 06: Because I sympathise with you not having a very popular model,I'd be willing to take it off your hands . Good deals only.
