Re: mass air flow sensor

if the error still comes up after replacing the sensor i would try checking the line maybe you have a loose wire or maybe one thats been disconnected?... im currently about to change out my airflow sensor in a ford probe if i have the same issue and i find a fix then ill let you know if its other wise

Re: mass air flow sensor

did u buy an oem mass air flow sensor or a cheap one or even worse get on from the scrappy

typical fault when the mass air flow goes is lumpy idling u can usually diagnose this fault by undoing the wiring connecter to maf meter if the idling revs settle then u know its deffo the meter at fault

u say it cuts out below 1000 rpm is this when dipping the clutch?

u might just need to clean the idle air control valve out on the side of the throttle body and the butterfly valve in the throttle body and checking all the pipe work around the throttle body for loose perished breather pipes
