how do you paint chrome-plated?
I'm working on my Tamiya R34 vspec2.. and I want to use the 6-spoke wheels, but they are chrome-plated, and my experience trying to paint the chrome isn't too good.
How can I paint these? I don't have an airbrush[not gonna get one anytime soon either], and I want to paint a X11/X12 mix.. prime it? Thanks! |

uhm
first dunk them in bleach (regular everyday bleach) then just clean them and paint them!

Aww, break down and get the airbrush!
Tamiya titanium gold or titanium silver are both gold/silver mixes. Strip 'em in bleach first- paint frequently dosn't stick to chrome well. And so often, Tamiya chromed parts look like crap- completely toy like! |
