1998 jetta gti nightmare

ok so my 1998 jetta gti is breaking down on me left and right. my prob now is my car wont cold start in damp weather it will if it rains in the pm and i drove car all day but no luck on a cold start and it will take a whole day in the sun for whatever is damp drys out.. i have checked the distributor cap and its bone dry. i cannot tell if it is a gas or electric prob. its a five speed,2.0. ..

i also have the window off the track prob . and it is almost impossable for me to find any thing on internet about this make and model i have the hayes book but it doesnt have all info on car. any help from anyone would save my day..

Really sounds like you have wet electrical connections. Check the fuse box, and relay box for corroded, rusted fuses/connections.

the window holder may have rusted. have you taken the door panel off?
