Sunroof and o2 sensor questions
My power sunroof motor for my '94 base 3kgt can be heard when I press the switch, but doesn't move at all. Now I've heard of people using window motors (in a very old thread, can't remember where) to convert their manual sunroof to electric. Could I do something like this or would it be better to get the actual motor? Or does anyone have a sunroof motor for sale? Also if i remove a catalytic converter do I have to run a O2 simulator?

Re: Sunroof and o2 sensor questions
If your 94 has a power sunroof its not factory.
If you remove the cat you do not need a sim since there is no o2 sensor after the cat.

Re: Sunroof and o2 sensor questions
I think the guy before me got the parts from a totaled 3000gt, later model. If so where can the motor be found online? Also I have the cali-spec emissions but I want the fed-spec 3sx downpipe, if I remove the precats do I need a O2 sim for those also?

Re: Sunroof and o2 sensor questions
You cant use a fed spec downpipe because you are cali spec. It will not bolt up. Youd need Fed spec manifolds.

Re: Sunroof and o2 sensor questions
Also on the power sunroof, is it glass? If so then its definitely aftermarket.

Re: Sunroof and o2 sensor questions
Yes it was glass, I'll just have an autobody shop check it out. As for the downpipe, I can't find them on 3sx anywhere anymore. oh well thanks for helping out a noob. Oh and that twin turbo conversion I was gonna attempt last summer/fall, it was getting way to expensive. Should've listened, lol.

Re: Sunroof and o2 sensor questions
3sx is currently out of stock on the downpipes hence why you cant find them. Someone posted up saying they would be back in stock in 2 weeks.

Re: Sunroof and o2 sensor questions
When the downpipe on my Eclipse broke at the flex once I went to a local exhaust place and bought a flex section for like $25. I dont remember the sizing though,.

Re: Sunroof and o2 sensor questions
so should i just wait for the 3sx pipe, or would an exhaust shop be just as good and around the same price? Possibly a bit more with install?

Re: Sunroof and o2 sensor questions
You can try www.3000gtstealthsupply.com or www.3swarehouse.com
I've bought from both of them and they both have a good amount of used parts.
