Smile my civic vs. an integra ls

okay so... i haven't been racing that long (considering i'm only 16), but this was the best race i've ever had so far.

i was comin home one night about 11 pm. i was drivin pretty fast down the highway when i come up to an integra that was really low. i figured he looked like he'd race me so i reved my engine and of course he reved his and took off. all the sudden we came up to a bunch of traffic so i slowed down and i was like crap. but eventually i got through it and i caught up again. we stopped at a light and he looked over at me. we reved our engines again. he was pretty confident since it looked like i just had a civic engine with some exhaust. little did he know i had an h22 under my hood. haha. yeah so.. we took off both of burnt out. and he pulled way out in front of me (about a car length) and i thought i was actually gonna lose. i was just gonna give up and call it a night since it was friday and there's usually cops on this road, but something came over me. i decided i'd try and catch up with him. as soon as we got into 5th i flew past him. i was gettin pretty nervous cuz he wouldn't give up. we kept going faster and faster. i topped out my civic spedometer when i finally put enough distance between me and him that he just gave up. it was awesome. i felt so great. racing's a drug and i'm addicted. it gave me a rush for real. we were goin about 130 maybe 140. i dunno cuz my spedometer only goes up to 130, but since i have an h22 i can go a whole lot faster. yeah so. that's all.

Sounds like a good race. You know what kind of Integra? GSR, ITR? You got some pics of your setup?

Nice kill.

but since you are young you have alot to learn. keep it safe man usually nothing good comes from racing that fast on the street. and no "win" on the street is worth blowing your motor, killing someone or yourself or wrecking your car just remember that much.

Re: my civic vs. an integra ls

nice kill. but i have to agree, with the enthusiasm of youth comes inexperience and i've seen too many wrecked cars on the highway and more often than not, there was a young driver(s). civics werent designed to go 130+ so i hope you have a nice set of grippy tires

Or keep the spoiler and people will figure you have a D15 with an intake and fart can. PWN.

sleepers usually have no or very little body work so that they have a stock appearance. the 8" tip and 747 wing don't really say "sleeper" to me

Re: my civic vs. an integra ls

well, if i was TRYING to make it look like a sleeper i wouldn't have put the spoiler on. i'm buying some coilovers soon so i can raise it up enough to put a body kit on it. i'm not trying to make it a sleeper. i'm doin what i like.

what does it say? ricer right?

put the right driver in that car with some better bolt on's and you have yourself an easy 13 sec ride that everyone thinks would run 16.70's. Throw some nice tires and a 50 shot on there and you could have a cheap reliable good gas mileage 12 sec car.

deception is the key to having a sleeper.

Just so you know big wings, and hub caps are not going to get you too many thumbs up for good looks. they are generally frowned upon and dont be suprised if you get hated on for it.

Im no wing expert but yours looks to be on wrong. even if you did need a wing that big on a civic it doesn't look like yours would work.
