Re: help me and my car!! PLEASE

depending on how u sell... u could get a decent $3k for it and then i'd say re-invest that into a 4th gen Honda Civic or CRX, now there's something decently modable... habanada

exactly..

Call me any name you want. Your car's gonna take alot of money to even be respectable. And the automatic transmission doesn't help a bit.

Just have fun with this car. It is going to be very expensive to "Mod" any import, especially this one, and it is never a good idea to hotrod the car you drive to work. Save your money and then get the Honda or whatever you decide to mod. That way you can have a car to drive to the parts store when you need it. And when you get old like me you can go for a nice Big Block V8. Of course by then you won't want to go fast. Good Luck.

Re: help me and my car!! PLEASE

1. Civics are the easiest to mod because there are so many mods, however they only start with around 100HP
2. Jettas are prolly the second easiest to mod, not as many mods but maybe a few more horses.
3. A probe is an alrite car to mod, more horses then both of them but less mods availible.

If you stick with your protege...Id start with the basics, Intake, Exhaust, Headers. Do little cheap projects first, put better spark plugs, change youre fluids, put the best you can, etc. Then when you really start to get into the horses, Id consider either selling it for something with more power to start with or get a supercharger or a turbo. Since you'll have the exhaust by then, I'd go with the turbo b/c turbos are powered off the exhaust.

Re: help me and my car!! PLEASE

Best bet is just get an engine swap. Prob the KLZE.
Or sell it and get a probe gt. They have tonnes of mods, and alot sportier than a protege.
