Dodge P0720 Speed Sensor Check Engine

This message board is awesome - thanks to everyone who contributes. Thats why I'm adding this thread. I have a 2000 Dodge 1500 2X pickup and the Check Engine light came on and the tranny was acting up. The tranny wouldn't shift out of 1st after the truck sat for a day or so and until it warmed up. The check engine light would come on right away with the code P0720 Output Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction. I saw a link on this board about replacing the driver side sensor on the side of the tranny housing. I got one from the local parts store ($26) and swapped it out in about 5 minutes and the truck runs like it used to - no problems. Thanks again and I hope this helps someone as much as it did myself.
