Carrol Shelby Museum
I'm tagging along with my wife this week for her conference in Las Vegas. Being bored during the day (after blowing my gambling allowance) I looked up things to do/see in LV, and ended up going to Shelby America.
Included in the cars that were on display, 1 of the 3 surviving Daytona Coupes, the first-ever original 260 Cobra (that CS turned down 23 million for), and the winningest GT350. plus prototypes of Supersnake wide-bodies, etc. I'm pretty sure I was drooling the whole time. If any of you end up in Vegas for whatever reason, put this place on your list.

Re: Carrol Shelby Museum
Very cool Mark. The other museum to see is the one at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah. Mr. Miller has many Shelby's, Cobras, GT 40's Mustangs and a lot of Ford Racing memorabella.
I spent a few hours there last year on my way to Bonneville. Don |

Re: Carrol Shelby Museum
Haven't been to the Shelby museum, but I second Don's recommendation on the Barber collection. Not only does they have a Daytona, they have the aluminum body for what was to be the only 427 powered Daytona. They have one of every model of the GT-40's and at least 10 Cobras including some of the race cars. These cars are "exercised" on the Barber track and maintained to the highest levels. Great selection of Mustangs, including Shelby's and a 70 Trans-Am Boss. Great facility.
Now I have to get to Vegas as well. Mike |

Re: Carrol Shelby Museum
Two great museums. However my favorite is the Simeone Museum in Philly. All race cars and most of them are in original condition. Check out the website and if you get anywhere near Philly you need to visit. Additionally Fred Simeone is one nice guy.
