Oil level sensor light on, oil full

I have a overhead oil light on with the oil full. I this a common problem? Any guess on what is wrong? If its easy i am a plug and play person. Thanks for any help you can give me. Dave

Changed oil and light went out. The oil was full but dirty. Dave

Probably because it's not simply an oil level light, but actually checks more than that, like the oil pressure. That light can be an indicator for a few oil issues, and of course one thing you never want to overlook is an oil issue. Good job on changing it.
