Can’t turn the steering wheel

I drove my car home from work with no problems yesterday, and this morning I went to drive again (after I warmed up for about 20 minutes) and I could barely turn the wheel. I had to give it my all. I drove around the block a couple of times thinking it would loosen it but it did not. I also noticed a faint burning smell. The power fluid is filled, I have no idea what it is.
