Main Drive Belt Tensioner Removal Procedure and Bypass Elbows

Just replaced heater hose elbow connectors on 2001 LeSabre. See article http://www.automotivehelper.com/topic663401.htm for more detailed info. Just wanted to add my info. I followed instructions but draining radiator was a hassle so just pulled parts and let drain into large pan under car. The elbows cost less than $4 from local parts stores. I damaged one of the "o" rings that goes on the metal connector that connects the heater hose from the tensioner to the firewall. We had large stock of "o" rings to select a new one but none would fit...either too ;large or too small. Ended up going to the dealer and buying one "o" ring....believe it or not they wanted over $5 for the "o" ring....but it worked. also could not see or retrieve a small part of the upper elbow that goes into the intake manifold. Allow 1.5 hours for project....if you take your time.
