Cool! Much, much, much, much, much better than the Camaro concept released by Chevy. My gripes about this car are two- 1- proportionally speaking, it's not quite as "low and wide" as the original, meaning it loses a little of the aggressiveness. The original E-body looks lower and wider, making it look a little meaner. 2- I have to wait to 2009 to get one.

It'll be interesting to see how much the interior changes to be "production ready".

4,000 pounds is way too much for a new pony car. While only a concept, the new Challenger is around 10 inches longer than the new Camaro concept.

Does anyone know if the edited information on old Dodge Challengers is correct?

carbon fiber and led's shouldnt be on muscle cars...it still looks awesome, but the tuner stripes kinda killed it. no only if i had 50 grand to get the 392 with 500 horses in that bad boy. at least dodge is getting the picture somewhat now!! if they ever read this post: MAKE IT LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THIS, MINUS THE NEW CRAP!!!

Tuner Stripes??? muscle cars were the cars that made those stripes popular. i love the whole car. It is one of the best dodges IMO. I just hope they make it. There is also a more in-depth video at edmunds.com.

Re: New Dodge Challenger concept

It's got rims like a truck. Truck grille. Ram head logos all over it too.

I'd change some things of course, but the car is all there. It'll probably get 2 more doors by the time production starts...

Yeah eh. They had this nice 2-door Charger all drawn up, and then suddenly these 4-door cars are sitting on the lots. That Charger was supposed to be a "muscle car" too. Maybe it is, but it's not a 2-door car...

Re: New Dodge Challenger concept

yea. i remember back in 99/00 when motor trend or car and driver or someone had an article written up on the prototype. it was a CNG car and it looked pretty awesome. i guess you could call the srt8 charger a muscle car but i dont really know so much about calling it a charger
