Fan Clutch Removal
Has anybody removed a fan clutch on a 98 Rodeo yet, could you tell me what kind of tools is needed to do the job? What did you used to hold it from turning? Any help will be appreciated

I don't own one of these vehicles, but I'm willing to bet you will need a box end wrench to pop out a few bolts from the back of the unit.
You may be able to hold the fan by it's blade in one hand, and use your other hand to give the wrench a good quick crack and possibly snap the bolt loose. Otherwise, a belt strap can be used to hold the fan in place. Steve |
