$500 budget
I'm looking to spend around $400 or $500 on subs and a amp and enclosure and wiring for a Ford Ranger. Any ideas?

Re: $500 budget
What music do you listen to, how much bass do you want, what style truck. 400-500 is more than enough for a single sub setup in a truck, you can build your own enclosure. Theres alot of things you can do just a little more info.

Re: $500 budget
The Ranger is a 2 door regular cab. I mostly listen to rap so I would like alot of bass. I only have hand tools and a few drills so I dont think I will be able to build a box by myself.

Re: $500 budget
you might just want to get a used Bazooka or MTX amped enclosure

Re: $500 budget
Why truck boxes are easily available and easy to make, while a thunderform would be good because its made to fit for specific vehicles. But these are limited to what speakers you can get and there horrible for bass. Let alone bazooka tubes are way over priced and sound just as bad. You can get low profile subs. It would pretty nice for a couple 8"s and a decent amp.

Re: $500 budget
Look around and find a used Atomic APXX and a AB 75.1 amp, it should make a truck loud enough for you. Build yourself a ported box and you'll be wangin.

Re: $500 budget
I build boxes and ship the smaller ones. two truck boxes are mostl ikely shipable.
www.myspace.com/cbenclosureresources i also have 2 audiobahm aw10's for sale. 65 shipped, decent entry level subs and not a lot more is going to fit behind the seat of a ranger. However, for that much, budget say $130 for the box if you want me to build it... then get something like this http://ascendantaudio.com/arsenal12specs.html then http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=16327 wiring can be done for like $30 on a little amp like that. |
