Corsa '98 electr(on)ic valve regulator

New to this forum, hope all you can support me...
As my '98 Corsa was badly running, opel service told me that problem was carburetor told me the problem is the electric (motor driven?) fuel valve and asked me a lot of money for the replacement of the whole carburetor. I gave a look to the valve and in effect it's operation is not smooth. I've cleaned with no success; any suggestion to repair it?: I'm trying to find the part with no success
