smell of gas?
Hello,
so, when I drive my little Twin Cam, there is often a faint odor of gas. (I have allergies so I don't really know how how bad it is.) Should I be worried about this? Is there any way to fix it? I am asking just in case this is a known thing. I will mention it to my mechanic the next time I take it in. Thanks! |

Re: smell of gas?
Inspect the EVAP system along with the injection system lines. EVAP leaks and/or saturation of the canister can frequently create a moderate fuel aroma.

Inspect the fuel filter and fuel lines. The last S-Series Saturn rolled off the assembly line over 18 years ago. Those parts are probably very corroded, especially if you live in the rust belt or near the ocean.
