Nissan Sentra keyless entry module location

I have a friend who had a Nissan Sentra 2001 and he wants that I install him a brand new remote starter system. He already had the original keyless entry system (with remote control) but w/o remote starter.

So he wants that I also remove his original system cause he wants to sold it to someone else. But I don't have any idea where it's located nor where is the infrared sensor. Do someone know where it's located?

A Windstar without having the check engine light is not a real Windstar.

Re: Nissan Sentra keyless entry module location

Oh, I just checked in a '01 Sentra service manual, the module seems to be located behind the panel just right next the steering column:

Because it seems complex, I decided to not remove it, and just install the new remote starter. So my friend has 2 keyless entry system who work in parallel. If one module stop working, the other can work. Both can be used at same time.

Re: Nissan Sentra keyless entry module location

I made a mistake. It's not in steering column. But behind the panel located between steering column and climate control.
