he kind of ignores that Honda doesn't even build their engines, Ilmor does, so the engines and builders will all still be out there even if the badging isn't.

One major open wheel series is better here in the U.S. than two.

the IRL Race at Kansas today was sold out (legitimately), I can't see a series that's selling out races and getting the best TV ratings its had in 8 years having no factory support. A representative from Honda said, that while they'd like to have competition, that they have a significant investment into the IRL and leaving would basically be wasting all that money.

IRL is not falling apart... wow. IRL is most likely going to buy out CART very soon. CART has already fallen apart, infact its not even really called CART anymore. lets not be morons here.
