You must be right tofu_driftguyrb26, your R33 was undriftable, other 4wd
I once owned a WRC peugeot 206, and it was undriftable too. well to be serious tofu, I hope you are lying, because it would be less humiliating to be a liar than not using your skyline at its limits. Thing is 4wd CAN really drift! The first car I drove(alone, w/o its owner) was a 4wd mini-van and it only took me a few minutes to start drifting with it. Trying to introduce the drift with power only seems impossible (at least on this car). If you are going really fast, the technique to lost rear traction seems similar to RWD. Its when your under 40 mph that its difficult. The best technique I have found in these 3 weeks of 4wd driving (btw, mini-vans tend to flip over when too sideway) was a combinaison of feint and lift-off 1. accelerate while turning the wrong way 2. lift the throttle completely as soon as you turn back to the right way 3. when the car is drifting enough, WOT!! and the 4 wheels should be drifting!! Btw, if you watch Tiff Needell movies with attention, he seems to be using that technique. If you are going at an high way speed, just lifting the throttle in a tight curve could be enough to make the car drift (lots of people also have accidents for lifting the accelerator, especialy on wet surfaces) But a good advice would be to try on a wet surface first, because as I said before, a mini-van tend to flip over when its too sideway, so you would be able to practice at a lower speed. Hope it will help! |

awd drift
first, all gtr r33's have aws,but at any speed about 45,also if the purchase of a nismo manumatic is purchased,it has a keyslot to TURN IT OFF!!second, porches are not dyno queens,SUPRAS ARE,i have seen 4oohp run low9's,and yet i have seen 800hp supras run only a tenth faster, third, rys millen didnt drive a evo in the d1,HE DROVE A FUCKIN PONTIAC LS1 POWERD GTO,AND YES THERE IS SUCH A CAR..and for all you hot four bangers,an ls1 is A 413 HORSE POWER V8,no turbo,no blower, superchargers for you weenies, fourth, the only reason i put my gtr in a tree,is cause some little hot shot thought he could drift the kaido,{downhill}he he realized he couldnt make it round a damn u turn,he spun out and i had to go off the u turn and off an 6 foot drop and it to some trees,if you dont beleive that i have one,i have sevreal pictures of it in the tree, and before......if theres anything i missed, let me know, and ill get back to your happy drifting asse's

Re: AWD drifters???
tofu, you make no sense.
honestly. and for the record, the ls1 is not 413hp stock. trust me. go look it up. the gto doesn't make 413hp stock. also. the mention of what Millen drove was prior to the current/recent D1, last month. you're a little slow on the pickup. it took you how many months to think of a reply? i DOUBT you owned a skyline. prove it. |

Re: AWD drifters???
hmm...
another interesting note, it was mentioned, by our buddy mr. tofu (for those of you who don't know, tofu is a fake food product, that can be seasoned to taste like REAL food, which seems adequate for this fake skyline owner), that awd boxer motors blow the torque convertor? really? where, mr. tofu, is the torque convertor located on a vehicle that would be raced or have high hp? considering that torque convertors are ONLY in automatic transmissions, not in manuals, which, coincidentally, most high powered or race cars are... ?????? |

No wonder I can't drift the STi...apparently according to tofu, you need a tourqe converter, and golly gosh darn it I can't find it on my car to replace it, and when I go to the auto parts store they look at me funny. They must hide them next to the diesel spark plugs.
