White spots on power steering reservoir?
My vehicle has these white specs/spots all over the power steering reservoir. They were there prior to me owning the vehicle. I’ve tried to clean them off with all-purpose cleaner but they won’t come clean. Any idea what it is and what I could use to remove them?

Re: White spots on power steering reservoir?
From what I see, I think that your power steering reservoir contains white rust that wasn't cleaned or removed for a long time. This is caused by exposure to water and some harmful chemicals. You can try wiping it off with the use of vinegar or some rust remover. However, if you're unsure of the procedure, its best to visit your trusted car shop to have it checked for possible repair or removal. This rust is not harmful but its recommended to have it removed to avoid any problems that might arise in the future. Hope this helps!
