In the market for.....
I am new to the board and somewhat new to lambo's. I have been doin some research and have come to 2 choices. Either a 2000 VT 6.0 or a GT or if I could get my hands one a GTR. Are there any FAQs on buying a Diablo somewhere? If not what should I look for when looking at a Diablo? I will be bringing one of my friends who owns a SV along with me but any additional help would be greatly appreciated. Now correct me if I am wrong but I understand that there were only 80 GTs and 40 GTRs built, is this true?
Larry

Damn , a quite amazing collection of cars there Larry... Got any pics?
And yeah about your question... I think that GTRs aren't street legal , they're track cars... That's what you're looking for? I'd say go for a GT if you can find one , it's more special then a "regular" 6.0 VT... hell every lambo is special , but GT is one of the best Lambos ever... I'd take a lavender metallic SE30 over any other lambo anyday , but that's just me... The other choice would be the GT... It's really nice with all the carbon stuff , cameras and the stronger engine plus RWD... But i think the VT would be more drivable , but hell , you already have at least 3 cars... 993 Turbo... :licker: ... I'll probably also get one soon ... I'll sell the two porsches i have now and get it... maybe.. .we'll see.. Anyway i don't own any Lambo (yet...) so that's just my thoughts... Good luck with your purchase and be sure to show us pics... And BTW: |

Hello,
there have been 83 Diablo GT's built, but only 80 went to customers actually, number 83 is still at the factory, what actually happened to the two 'others' has never been told strangely enough. As for the GTR, this is a race car and not street legal in any country, although one of these GTR's is actually registered in Japan, don't ask how, but I guess it took a lot of money. The absolute best for road driving is the GT, awesome power and rear wheel drive, the best combination, a bit lethal perhaps, but still utterly enjoyable, note however that the Diablo VT 6.0 could be ordered with rear wheel drive only too, three of these were sold in The Netherlands by the way. Also any decent Lamborghini mechanic can remove the front driveshaft, thus creating a Rwd unit, I know two Roadsters that were converted into RWD in the US back in 1999 this way, it can be done ... Kind regards
