CO adjustment on FJ-80
Just purchased a '93 FJ-80 Landcruiser with the FI straight six and it failed the Ohio emissions tests. The HC and CO2 levels were fine, but the CO was not.
At idle the CO was 3.08 and the limit is 1.20, at 2500 RPM the CO was 2.64 and the limit is 1.20. It runs fine and I'm getting 15+ MPG on the highway. It does run a little rough when it's cold and if you put it in gear before its been running for a few minites, it stalls. The air filter is new and there are no obvious signs of a hose off or vacuum sounds, there is a very small leak where the exhaust pipe connects to one of the cats that are located near the passenger side footwell. Any ideas of where to start trouble shooting or any common things that need attention would be good to know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Re: CO adjustment on FJ-80
Check the engine coolant temperature and inlet air temperature sensors.
