Our Japanese distributor has not confirmed yet, since they have lots of work with the current earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Today we had contact with the company in question, they are ok but located near to the damaged area.

We hope the best for all of Japan!!!

Re: Belkits Peugeot 207 S2000

wow for that price is cheaper goign through domino for it. i think it came out to like 70 even shipped. i mean the kit price from them transfered to usd is only 50 bucks and change, i would never pay 85 for a plastic static model especialy buying it in the us

Yup. I just emailed Domino to see what shipping would be for both this and the Simil'r kit together to try and save a little. Will let everyone know what I hear.

Re: Belkits Peugeot 207 S2000

Wow. I can't believe how expensive things are anymore.

I just recieved an email from Amelie at Domino.be that I referenced above. She stated that if I bought two kits (Belkits Peugeot S2000 and the Simil'r Focus) and had them shipped to the US, shipping would be $24 (around $34). VAT is 21% and not applicable, so that is taken off the price of the kits. So, the total in euros is 61 + 24 (shipping) = 85 Euros which is ~$120 for two kits. Wow, just wow.

I'd REALLY like to have these kits, as both look very nice. But I just can't justify that kind of expense right now. Maybe later. In some sense, I can see it. Each kit could be ~$46 for a total of $92 and then expensive shipping. I guess it comes down to the shipping again--$28 to ship two kits? I just find it odd that it's not that expensive to do it from here, but from there it is. (I'm NOT bashing any company, just wondering about the inconsistency.)

I promised an update, so there it is.

Re: Belkits Peugeot 207 S2000

Daniel, I ordered the Simil'R focus and the 207 S2000, but I'm not sure to keep the focus (afraid to be disapointed with it...) I know I can send for less than 24 euros to the US, I recently sent kits for 14 to 17 euros. It's a priority sending with tracking but not sign for and not insured.
If I don't keep the focus I'll let you know it.

I don`t know about the focus but Belkits have a distributor in the states for the 207.

http://www2.stevenshobby.com:5641/

edit : just checked the site, they are asking 89,95 for the 207. That`s a lot.

Yeah, I posted it either above or in another thread. US$90 for a 1/24 kit is ridiculous.

I just saw it.

But i was reading your last post again

That`s 85eu for the 2 kits. If you check out the prices at Domino i`m paying 35eu + 40eu + 5eu shipping to get those 2 kits. That`s only 5eu less then you have to pay, and i live in Belgium. So i don`t think there is a cheaper way to get those kits.

That's because I don't pay VAT. Shipping for me is $34 vs $7 for you. Unfortunately, it evens out. Again, my whole point is I was taken aback by the high shipping cost.

Re: Belkits Peugeot 207 S2000

Shipping to the US is exorbitant nowadays, I have friends in NY and NJ who ask me to send bits over from home they can't get in the States and shipping has more than doubled in the past few years!!
